Meet Our Founder, Caroline
Hi I'm Caroline, the founder of Dancing Ducklings. I am a qualified nursery nurse with over 30 years experience working with children. I love singing, dancing, music and imaginative storytelling which is something I deliver in all of my classes. I am fully DBS checked and also have up to date first aid and safeguarding training.
Dancing Ducklings
Founded in 2016, Dancing Ducklings is a very well established children's drop in class, even surviving COVID by offering live streaming sessions. We are a pillar in the community, with lots of families staying until their children start school and returning with new siblings. Our ethos is to 'Bring Songs to Life', this is done by a wide variety of theme related props, puppets and lots and lots of bubbles! Alongside this we have a weekly theme that focuses on relevant nursery rhymes, action songs and an imaginative storytelling experience. A typical class always starts with the 'Mr Tumble Hello Song' where the children can practice their sing and sign, followed by an introduction to the theme of the week leading to relevant songs completed with a story. Coming to the end of the session the children get a chance to unwind with the 'In the Night Garden theme tune' however, don't fear because the bubble disco is here! Have fun by dancing with your child to a pop song relevant to the theme alongside bubbles! ​
